We are now looking for a social worker for the adult unit! The adult unit consists of eleven social workers, two senior social workers, and a unit manager. We are responsible for the authority's actions for individuals aged 18 and over who have harmful use and dependence, co-occurring disorders, as well as for individuals with social psychiatric issues and those seeking support due to violence in close relationships. We also handle part of the authority's actions regarding assistance for housing, such as Housing First. The unit is divided into an investigation group and a reception group, and we are now looking for a social worker for the reception group. We are committed to our work and collaborate closely in beautiful premises with old charm in central Alingsås. The premises are divided into a visitor area with adapted visiting rooms and an office area where employees have their own offices. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a social worker as one of our employees has moved on to another position within the administration. As a social worker in the adult unit and in the reception group, you will conduct qualified reception, investigation, and follow-up work according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act with special provisions on the care of young people (LVU), and the Act on the care of substance abusers in certain cases (LVM). In the reception, protection assessments are handled within the framework of LVU and LVM, as well as risk and protection assessments for individuals exposed to violence in close relationships. You work independently but also in collaboration with colleagues and partners, always with the client in focus. Our social workers have training in MI and ASI.
The unit consists largely of experienced social workers and has a present and supportive management with two senior social workers and a unit manager. Method support occurs weekly in groups, and you receive individual method support and case supervision tailored to your needs. The group also has external process supervision. We strive to be a cutting-edge social service, and we see collaboration with our execution units as a valuable foundation in our work, which is also reflected in the structured development work that is ongoing. QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Degree in social work
- Driver's license (B)
Meritorious:
- Experience of several years working with authority actions in the adult area or social child welfare
As a person, we see that you have a broad knowledge in the adult area as you will be handling cases related to harmful use and dependence, violence in close relationships, social psychiatry, and housing issues. You need to have a strong commitment to our adults within the social services area. To succeed in the role, you must have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and express yourself well in text. You should be responsible with a good attitude and a strong ability to collaborate. We expect you to contribute to the good work environment that exists in the group and to be flexible when the work requires it. You are confident in your work role and can work independently but also see the importance of collaboration for the client's best interest. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
